The Last Couple of Days

The anniversary was really nice and relaxing. B and I had both worked long days and didn't want to do much. When I walked in the door B had some roses for me and he also bought me a CD. It was super sweet of him.
We ended up just getting some take-out and playing Dr. Mario on the Wii. It was just perfect.
The next day I took the boys for a haircut.
Don't they look so super cute?
Yesterday, after the dogs were home from their cuts, and once B got home, we decided to get some sodas from the gas station.
We went in, got our refills, B got some chicken strips and we exited the gas station with our loot. Apparently I should look down when I walk because I stubbed my pinkie toe into a random piece of jagged cement just hangin' out on the sidewalk right by our car. Of course I was wearing flip-flops.
Below is my injured toe.
It actually split the skin on the tip of my toe and ripped it open like a zipper.
I was certain that I broke my toe. I think I just broke the skin on my toe.
What a random way to hurt your toe.
Tonight B and I are going to continue with the Dr. Mario marathon. We are both kind of bummed because we really should be at the first of four Phish shows in Colorado tonight, but we haven't the money for all of their shows!
We are going to Phish Fest 8 in Indio, California over the Halloween weekend. We get to camp and we are gonna have a blast!
I can hardly wait!

Just 3 Years Ago Today...

Three years ago we got married!
Time seems to have flown by with so many things happening.
We are both so very happy to have married one another.
See how happy we are?
I really do love B with all my heart and am so lucky to have him in my life!
And tonight... We Celebrate!!!

Rides

My mountain bike finally came. I have been trying to post this blog FOREVER now and realized that I had to put the pictures on one at a time to make it work.
Below here is a picture of the trail that we biked a while ago, I think it was a week or two ago!
It looked promising, but it was very short and not that great... I still managed to fall.
Below here is a picture of my new bike. She is a beauty.
Below here is B's bike. He is probably gonna sell it sometime this fall.
Here is another site from our trail, and there is B in the lower left corner just doing what he does best... way better than me anyway!
This is just a picture of the fine city of Smithfield.
Kind of pretty... At least I think it is.
Cute B!
Beautiful sunshine!
What more could I ask for?
Below here is a sign that I took a photo of. I insisted that we could not go beyond this point and B insisted that we could. I have the proof and the evidence that I am RIGHT and B is WRONG!!!
Ha Ha!
Just another fantastic view.
Below here is my left knee with a bump on it.
I fell and bumped my knee and twisted my wrist. I still got up and did the first part of Green Canyon afterward though.
Things have been pretty normal lately. Just the same old normal hum drum things except we are doing a lot of bike rides. I would post pics of many more, but you would all get bored.
I am currently working on another afghan. It is turning out very nice, however, I kind of wish I would have done the pattern a little bit different. Another time.
Yogurt... you are gonna love it!
I hope you all are doing well.

Super Saturday

B and I had one of the best Saturdays we have had in a long time!
We got up yesterday morning at about 9:00 AM.  We got ready for the day and then we went to breakfast at Village Inn.  B got chicken fried steak and eggs, I got the eggs benedict.
We had a super fun time at breakfast.  Just talking like we hadn't seen each other in a while...I love times like those.
After we had breakfast, we went and bummed around town.  First we went to Best Buy.  There wasn't much there to look at.
Then we were off to Staples where we spent an unusual amount of time there, but it was fun nonetheless.
After that it was on to Hobby Lobby.  I finally was able to afford the yarn for Yogurts blanket that I promised her back in like April!  Sorry Yorgurt.  It is gonna be a beauty, if I can decide upon a pattern now!
After that we got my car washed, then we went home.  We played with the puppies and just hung out at home for a while.
As the night wore on the games came out.
We first moved our kitchen table into the living room.
Then we put on the Phish "It" show.  We played Texas Hold 'Em, then Boggle, then Rummikub, as photo'd below!
Below here you see a rare photo of my tiles that B wasn't allowed to see.  This allows opponents to make up strategies to beat one another at the game.
Below here is a photo just to prove that we indeed did move our table out into the living room.  See the carpet?  Ha that is proof!
The dogs just slept, and looked annoyed at the pictures I took of them.

It really doesn't sound like much, but B and I had a great time.  We did end up going grocery shopping at about 10:55 PM.  That was fun.  When we got back we continued our game of Rummikub and watched 'Dan In Real Life'.  I had a photo of that too, but for some reason the blogger wouldn't upload it.
None of our friends really contacted us to do anything with them.  Sometimes I think they don't like us.  B always tells me that I am wrong for feeling this way, and I know that he is right.  I still can't help but feel that way though.  Either way it is okay because B and I are able to entertain one another for hours, that is what happens when two dorks get married.
Honestly though, we really are the best of friends, which is perfect.  We stayed up until 2:00 AM, something I have not done in forever!

And Yet Another Hat That Is TOO Big!

I started this hat a couple of months ago and forgot that I was making a hat until yesterday when I got my crochet bag out of the closet.
I picked it up and finished it between yesterday and today.
Though the hat is very cute, it is also very big.
B is my hat model and every hat seems too look super good on him.
He says that it is comfortable, just big.
It is awful holy too.
Nonetheless it looks super cute on him.  Perhaps it will get worn in the cold months, and perhaps it is just a waste of yarn.
I am still learning, and still making lots of mistakes.
Back to the drawing board for me.
Hats are hard to make.

All Is Well And Safe And Sound

All of my cute lil' residents made it back into the building safe and sound.
The first night back out elevators were still not working, so that was a lot of stair well runnin', but that was ok.
We had to keep about 8 residents at Sunshine Terrace because of their inability to get up or down the stairs, but for the most part, it was a good move to get them back in the building.  We did this move on Wednesday.  When they first decided to move them, I was absolutely upset.
They decided to move them during a very busy dinner-time med pass.  Nobody seemed to care whether or not they would get their meds but me, however, there was so much to do I was only able to medicate one of my 40 residents on time.
I don't think anybody really understood why I was so mad either.  They don't know or really care (it seems) if meds are given or not.
So I threw my fits, then put my head down and got the work done.
Then I apologized to the managers that I threw my fits out and stayed until 9:00 PM getting all the medication delivered.
It was a 15 hour work day.  I was supposed to have the next day off, but I had to go in and help out.  I thought I might only be there for a couple of hours, but it turned into 10.
As of 10:30 PM on Thursday night, everyone was safe and sound in their rooms at Terrace Grove.  So that is good.
I did have yesterday off.  I did laundry and went on a 30 mile bike ride with my friend Winfrey.  She is a darling girl who is going to ride the 111 mile ULCER with B and me on August 8th.  That is gonna be super fun!
Anyway, I hope you guys are all doing super!
OH! And Raw...you could keep me, but I would have to make B and my pups come stay too!

Today, I Fell!

Today B and I went for a mountain bike ride.
B got a demo bike from Al's for me to use.  He also picked up some super cute clip-less mountain biking shoes that are mine all mine.
When we can buy the bike that we are getting for me, it will have pedals on it that require this type of shoe.
Below here is a retarded picture of the demo bike.  B has the bikes locked up outside our house right now so this was the best picture that I could get.
It is a Specialized SumpJumper Elite FSR.  It is a mens bike and it is a little too big, but it is still super fun to ride.
So today was the first time I tried out my new shoes.  I was all clipped in and ready to go.  B told me to ride around in the parking lot and clip in and out of the pedals to make sure that I had the hang of it.
I felt that I did pretty darn good, and I did too.  I didn't fall in the parking lot.
We threw the bikes in the back of the Tundra and drove up the paved rode of Smithfield Canyon.  Once we had parked I hopped on the bike and was ready to go.
We got up the canyon pretty far with no falls.
We then got to a gate.  I thought to myself 'well this is a small path, but it is a way to get around the gate, I bet I can make it.'
I got started up the path, got to the part of the path right next to the gate.
Lost my momentum.
Clipped out my right foot.
Started falling to the left...kept falling to the left...tried clipping out my left foot...kept falling to the left...screamed as I fell.
B was off dinking around and heard me scream.  To him it sounded as though my scream had become muffled, so he thought that I was tumbling down the side of the mountain and into the river.
Nope.
All I can show you is this little left ankle wound:
Extreme close-up photo I know.
By the time B had caught up to me I was sitting on my butt with my bike to the side.
I felt my eyes swell with tears as B sat next to me.  He asked me if I was okay, and I said 'yeah, just my pride is hurt.'  I then wiped my tears from my eyes.
Below here is a picture of my rode biking shoes, just in case you all were wondering what I wear on my other bike. :)
I hope you all have had a very happy 4th of July!

B Fell

B went biking with our neighbor the other night and well...he fell.
Below is a self portrait.
B failed to take pictures of his arm.  We took photos again tonight to show his healing.

His leg looks worse if you ask me.
Pretty soon we will be ordering my mountain bike and you never know, the next wounds that we take photos of might be me!!!!
Hopefully there is not a next time, but you never know.
This weekend we plan on doing a road ride, and that is gonna be fun!
Hope you all have a happy 4th of July weekend!
