A Cute Lil' Gift

 I was so excited when I got home from work yesterday and there was a package on the doorstep with my name on it!

Usually when we get packages they are little mysteries that B has ordered and that I am banned from opening due to the lack of my name being on the package.

But yesterday the tides had turned!

I brought the box inside and my step-mom had mailed me this cute little easter decoration:

It is an easter-egg basket (obviously) made completely from carved wood.

Look at the cute chickie on top!

The eggs even come out!

So darn cute!  Thanks Teach (step-mom) for the cute gift!

In other news...

Work has been CRAZY lately.  I feel that everyday I go to work I spend the whole time trying to catch up, only to find that catching up is an absolute joke!

The days do fly, but I always leave feeling like my ass has been handed to me on a platter to shamefully carry out the door and take home.

I don't know why it is so crazy busy lately.

Tomorrow is another chance to try and kick my work back and get ahead and stay there...let's hope that I can do that!  I have Friday off so hopefully tomorrow I can prove myself and get the whole job done without passing anything on to the next shift.

We'll see.

I am still loving our new painted wall and am so happy that we painted it.

We have aspirations to actually paint some walls upstairs, but who knows if we will ever get to that.  If we do I know that we will love it, but if we don't it won't be the end of the world.

There is not too much else to mention.

I have neglected my latest afghan project but I plan to get back to it soon, maybe even later tonight, who knows.

Currently is is 7:45 PM and that is getting awfully late for me...I hate getting up at 4:00 AM.

B is enjoying his spring break from school.  He is just working and catering to my needs.  Today I was unable to clock out from work until almost 3:00 PM, so he had to go take care of our puppies.  He is so great to help me out.

Anyway, I have got to start getting ready for bed, I feel so lame!

The New Wall

Over the weekend, B and I finished painting our living room.  We originally did not paint the walls where our bay windows are, and we regretted it.

So this weekend they went from white to tan.

I love it!  It looks so nice.  In the photo below, I don't feel that I was able to adequately capture how good they actually look, but here is the photo anyway!

OH MY HECK TODAY THE SNOW ABSOLUTELY SUCKED!!!!

The picture below is our portable fire pit.

It too accumulated A LOT of snow.

Our back yard seemed to get much more because of the wind.

This morning at about 4:30 AM when I first took the dogs out, the wind had blown the accumulated snow up against our door.  As soon as I opened the door, a ton of snow came in and spilled all over our kitchen floor.

Oye vey! (sp?)

What a crazy, snowy day!

Work was also just busy busy busy!!!!

I never stopped.

I brought slimfast to drink for lunch and never had a chance to even drink it.

I clocked in on time and clocked out about 1/2 hour late.

It made for a quick day, but oh my gosh!  I guess it is better to busy then to be bored!

I hope you all got dumped on by the snow as much, if not more, than we did.

Misery does love company!!!

Stuff

I finished the throw I was working on.  That was good.

I decided to take a picture of the final project.

I laid the throw over the back of our love seat (that still only one family member has come to see).

I got the camera ready.

As I went to click the picture, a little friend jumped up with a bit of a scowl.

I think maybe he was mad that the picture was not only of him.

I attempted another picture.

Our friend came back and stayed for a while.

If anything, he only makes my throw look cuter.

Below here is was I thought would be the beginning of another project.

After completing this chain, I successfully created row #1.

Row #2 I know I did wrong.

I cannot figure out the instructions.

So instead, I have made a couple more dog sweaters.

My neighbor is going to be the representative for a party that I am hosting for ladies only.

She has a cute lil' 4 lb. yorkie named Zoey.

She saw me outside one day and I showed her my dogs in the sweaters that I had made them.

These lil' dog sweaters should be a small 'thank you' to her from me for being a representative at the party.

I attended one of her parties last weekend.  It was very fun and very hilarious.

It obviously inspired me to host one.

I am super excited!

Yesterday I worked the longest day I have worked in a very long time.

I dunno what is going on, but lately at my work it seems like everyone thinks that it is really cool to catch the latest virus or bacteria and then share it with everyone at Terrace Grove.

EVERYONE seems to be sick, patients and co-workers.

The nurse that was supposed to work the evening shift last night called in and sounded horrible.

Nobody was able to work for her so I told my boss that I could stay and work a double if absolutely necessary.  I clocked in at 5:00 AM yesterday morning and did not clock out until 9:30 PM last night.  I had the day off today, and my boss got my Friday shift covered too!

I now have a 4 day weekend!!! Yahoo!

Well now I guess that since today is pretty much over, I have a three day weekend!

Still it is nice to have time off.

Today I did not do much.

I belted out two dog sweaters.  I am not sure if they are even gonna fit her puppy but they are simple to make.  So basically I just relaxed today.

So nice to do nothing after a LONG day chuck full of tons to do.

Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone.

Welcome To My Birthday Month

Yeppurs! It is my birthday month!

On March 31st I will be gettin' older!!

So I am a little annoyed.  I changed my blog background, still gave credit to the site that I use on my blog and the damn site still tagged the top of my blog for advertising.

That is really annoying.

Oh well.

In addition to changing my blog background, half of the stuff that I keep on my sidebar was deleted.  I am tired of putting it back on so I just let it stay deleted.  I don't think it was highly viewed anyway.

Today is boring.

B is doing homework, I am doing laundry and sewing.

So darn boring.

The dogs got haircuts and they look cute.  It still gets pretty chilly at night, so I am making sure that they have their sweaters on wether they like it or not.

I forgot to put them on before bed last night and poor little Arnold was shivering this morning.

Poor puppy.

We warmed him and then started our day of boredom.
